Brown Butter Chocolate Chip Cookies edit
Make a good amount of the best chocolate chip cookies
Ingredients
- 1 cup salted butter (220g)
- 2 cups flour (380g)
- 1 tps baking soda
- A pinch of salt
- 1 cup brown sugar (130g)
- 1/3 cups white sugar (75g)
- 2 eggs
- 2 tps vanilla extract
- 1/2–1 bar of 70–78% dark chocolate
- flaky salt (optional)
Instructions
- In a medium sacuepan brown butter, then set aside to cool
- Combine dry ingredients in a medium bowl
- In a large bowl add the sugars
- Pour in brown butter and mix till combine
- Agg eggs one by one and whisk until combined
- Add vanilla
- In batchs add dry ingredients till combined
- Cover and place in fridge for 30 min–Overnight
- Preheat oven to 375°
- Portion in to balls and place on parchment lined baking sheet
- If using sprinkle with flakey salt
- Bake for 9–11 minutes
Notes
These cookies are great and you should try to get flaky salt if you can it really adds to the flavour. Aswell if you using unsalted butter add more salt to the batter. If you want you can also add chopped up skor to the batter but not required at all. Recipe adapted from Bon Appetite
